Yes or No?

Okay... so it's been my mission to find baby girl bedding for a reasonable price. I've found a thousand and one darling options, but, unfortunately, am not willing to pay several hundred dollars for them.

I recently purchased this set - just the bed skirt, bumper pad, and quilt. I'm thinking I'll paint the walls and a barely-there-pink, get some pink sheets, and find baskets and a lamp to coordinate.

But, since I'm really talented at changing my mind every 17 seconds, I thought I'd get your opinions. Everything you think is fair game because I'm not completely sold on and devoted to this bedding. I'm just after some thoughts from friends.

So, yes or no to the following?

  1. Sarah, I do think this bedding is very sweet & love the pink & brown together. I especially like the bed skirt with the delicate embroidery! I like the old-fashioned, vintage look, kind of has an heirloom feel...

  2. I LOVE brown and pink. That is Annabelle's room. We had white walls and dark brown trim in that room, so I made it easy and painted 2 large pink rectangles (less painting) and then put pictures, shelves and a large A monogram inside the pink. It is adorably cute!! The bedding you picked seems to fit the rest of your house decor/tastes from what I can see if pictures:) Isn't it the funnest!!!

  3. I love brown and pink together for a girls room, so often you see it done in a very modern way with circles or polka-dots. This is sweet and soft. I think it would make a darling girls room and could be later change easily into a toddlers room where you continue with the pink/brown and rose/garden theme. Its a very darling and charming look!

  4. I would agree with the others I like the brown and pink. I didn't spend the $$ on a "set" for either child. Mom made valance/curtains & we bought solid skirts & bumpers b/c before you know it she'll need a big girl bed!! I love the "barely there" color - we have "barely lavender" in Olivia's room and it's just perfect! Happy decorating! Try a plain lamp and just glue gun rick rack and ribbon around to "spice it up" - I know you're not "crafty" but if you find what you want I'd be happy to help you glue it :)

i bought a gender neutral set with the first one, but when i kept having girls i wanted something girlier so i just pieced things together too. way cheaper and still just as cute. i know your a good bargain shopper so i'm sure you'll find the perfect things for the perfect price!! -erica

  6. Many designers are creating designs that have more appeal to adults while still being soft and sweet. Matching cradle bedding is also popular.
