Glorious Ruins

Syria, Egypt, China, North Korea. Growing unrest and turmoil that is inescapable.

Homosexual rights, abortion, common core, humanism, atheism, socialism. Open agendas that are destroying America.

Sex trafficking, child exploitation, pornography. Human dignity is stolen for profit.

Disengaged parents, broken families, confused children. And the church looks no different.

Then there's you and there's me and we wonder what we do. What we should say. How we should act. What we should think. The answer is simple, really; but the demonstration of that answer can get complicated.

God's truth heals, restores, guides, directs, teaches. Our answers for every need and worry and decision are there. What we do with what we discover in His truth is what matters. It's the game changer for how we make much of today and wake up tomorrow undeterred from the seemingly small results of yesterday.

God's grace saves, God's Spirit empowers, and God's truth transforms. When you and I choose surrender to this personal God we experience freedom that nothing in this world can steal, lock up, rule against, or destroy.

And we have the precious responsibility to share it with a lost world. Knowing God enables the ruins of our lives to become glorious masterpieces that advance eternal freedom in His kingdom.

Glorious Ruins ~ Hillsong

When the mountains fall
And the tempest roars You are with me
When creation folds
Still my soul will soar on Your mercy

I'll walk through the fire
With my head lifted high
And my spirit revived in Your story
And I'll look to the cross
As my failure is lost
In the light of Your glorious grace
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsty.com/hillsong-glorious-ruins-lyrics.html ]
Let the ruins come to life
In the beauty of Your Name
Rising up from the ashes
God forever You reign
And my soul will find refuge
In the shadow of Your wings
I will love You forever
And forever I'll sing

When the world caves in
Still my hope will cling to Your promise
Where my courage ends
Let my heart find strength in Your presence
