Five Months!

It's true... right before my very eyes you are growing up! Here we are at five months already - how did this happen?!
Rolling everywhere: check. Chewing toys and fingers: check. Easy-going and adaptable: check.
I rummaged in the closet and pulled out the exersaucer. Oh.My.Goodness! I don't think I've ever seen you smile so big! Your cheeks about split they were stretched so far... you loved the chance to stand and see everything! You will play for long periods of time in here, or, just sit and watch everything happening around you, which usually involves crazy stunts from your brothers.
You were a sick little girl for a couple of weeks this month. Low-level RSV and bronchiolitis had you feverish, coughing, wheezing, congested, and fussy.
Despite these pictures of you sleeping peacefully, there wasn't a whole lot of sleep happening this month. While you were sick you seemed to be unable to relax or get comfortable... and that meant lots and lots of rocking, singing, and praying from Dad and Mom while we tried to help you out.
Once you were feeling better, you were back to your sweet, happy self. You know, the one with the darling smile. The catchy giggle. The pitchy squeals.
Sometimes I like to just sit and watch you. You're curiosity and sparkling eyes make my heart dance. I'm proud of you - just the simple fact that you're mine makes me so proud.
Still bald as can be, and still with sensitive and rashy skin, but oh-so-darling to us! Grady Lee declared just the other day, "Jesus gave us the pwettiest baby sister in the whole wide world. She is berry, berry beautiful." And Micah, almost everyday will pray, "Thank you Jesus for our pwetty sister that I wuv lots."
Yup, it's true: you are loved and you have worked your way into the hearts of our family with very little effort on your part. You simply are and so we all simply love!
