Eager To Help - Eager To Play

Ever tried to make a gingerbread house with two very eager-to-build-toddlers? Ever tried to spread icing delicately with two very eager-to-taste-test-toddlers? Ever tried to use candy to decorate a gingerbread house with two very eager-to-eat-instead-of-decorate-toddlers?

I have, and it's a lot of fun. You won't end up with a pretty house. You won't have a clean counter. But you'll have fun, and really, that's what the memory-making is all about.

Annalyse woke up from a nap half-way through decorating and ended up joining us for the fun. Here's a good one: Ever tried to nurse while icing and decorating a gingerbread house? I have. And it's not a lot of fun. And I don't recommend it.

The boys gave the house a final look-over and concluded it "looked berry beautiful and yummy." It's now proudly displayed on the entertainment center - away from little hands that want to snack on candy.
This picture has absolutely nothing to do with the content of this post, but Grady Lee thinks these glasses are super cool and he wanted to show my "fwends that look on the computer for our pictures." So here you go. My crazy kid that thinks these glasses are, um, cool.
We were going to meet friends at Monkey Joe's for Half-Price Wednesday, but last minute our friends had to cancel. I opted to still go and the boys ran and jumped and slid and sweated (please don't comment on my grammar) for two hours.
This pretty girl was all smiles and was content to sit and take everything in. That, or maybe she was overwhelmed by the bright lights and loud screams and blaring Christmas music. Either way, she was good the whole time.
Grady Lee couldn't get his little self over to Monkey Joe fast enough. Micah, however, wanted nothing to do with him and refused even a high-five.
Finally, for the doting Grandparents that like to see the crazy boys play, this is for you:

Okay, LOVE the little outfit you have on Annalyse at Monkey Joe's!
That is too cute about the super "cool" glasses & the picture Grady Lee wanted you to post...my kids will tell me all the time..."Mommy, you need to post this on your blog!" It's a different world that we live in, but I sure am thankful for blogs & blogging!
