Days of Creation

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1

Over the next couple of weeks, actually, it may roll in October since Baby Girl is coming soon, the boys and I are going to focus on the Days of Creation.

To kick things off, we spent a couple of hours today simply walking in the woods and by the lake, collecting things from nature, and observing all the wonderful things God made.

Thankfully, when Micah found a used fishing line and lure, he yelled, "This is trash! God didn't make trash and doesn't like it on the ground, right Mom?" Phew - we're making theological progress already.

Understanding and believing in the Days of Creation is foundational - critical - for a Christian world view. I'm looking forward to doing more than simply telling the Creation Story over the next couple of weeks. And, working through the Days of Creation include math, science, letters, crafts, exercise, and memory verses... how's that for easy homeschooling?
