Sandbox - Part 2

You know you weren't able to sleep last night because you were so full of anticipation about how our sandbox came together. Well folks, here you have it:

By 8:30 this morning, we were all outside working on the sandbox. Correction: Grady and Grandpa were working on the sandbox; Grady Lee was "helping" by hammering random places and ensuring that everyone knew he was wearing his safety goggles; Micah ran around and played with Grandma; and I sat on a towel snapping pictures of the crazy fun.

Check out this 5x7 beauty... all 35 square feet of this sandy fun was built with love (and sweat) for two very excited little boys.

And, in typical Grandma-style, no sooner was the sand spread in the new sandbox, when she appeared bearing gifts: lots of new sand toys!

So, for the next two hours, my boys dug and built and crashed and buried anything and everything in their new big sandbox.

(Thanks Grandpa and Dad for all your big muscle work!)

  1. I LOVE the "rest of the story"! The sandbox looks wonderful & I know it is going to keep 2 boys occupied for hours (and hopefully give 1 mama a few extra moments to read or blog or rest!)
Hey, is your mom doing "Where is Thumbkin?" with Micah? I haven't thought of that little song in YEARS, but now I'm going to have to do that with Drew tomorrow!
    Blessings for your week!
