Enough?

2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weaknesses.'"

When your health is strong and your relationships are pleasant and your finances are well-managed and your home is happy, is Christ enough?

Sometimes when circumstances are without complication we forget our need for moment-by-moment reliance on Christ's power. We see the happiness of the moment as sought-after rights and forget they are grace-given blessings.

When your health falters and when relationships crumble and when finances tank and when your home is broken, is Christ enough?

Sometimes when circumstances are full of complication we strive to find solutions, work to overcome, and forget to rest in the power Christ offers moment-by-moment. We see the difficulties of the moment as something to quickly fix and forget the sufficiency of Christs' power for all the wisdom and peace and joy we need.
Romans 5:2b-5 "And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does now put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

Nahum 1:7 "The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who rust in him."

John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!"
