The Simple Things

1. The backyard woods. I love seeing all the trees and the creek behind our house. I love seeing deer and squirrels just past my deck. I love seeing herons and hawks sit on branches by the window. Mostly though, I love watching my boys explore and roam in the best backyard playground around.

2. Fun blogging connections. It makes my day when I meet someone new via blogging. I enjoy conversations that happen with people I wouldn't otherwise interact with. I appreciate the encouragement and prayers that come my way because of a simple post. I value the insight and admonition I receive from comments and messages regarding a post. I blog primarily as a personal family journal, but I've grown to really enjoy the new relationships that have formed.

3. People to love. I love loving my family. I love loving my church body. I love loving my friends. Can you imagine going through your days without having people to love? True, love is demanding work most of the time. But also true, love is rewarding in immeasurable ways all of the time.
