I remember when Grady and I would end a busy workweek with a nice dinner out. We'd linger with friends at a Starbucks. We'd enjoy live theater. We'd walk the lake shore or Navy Pier. We'd, well, we'd do a lot of things other than stay home and clean up messes.
We'd do a lot of things other than stay home and do crafts. We'd do a lot of things other than stay home and, um, wrestle.
And when we finally did decide to call it a night, we certainly didn't fall asleep with our toys.
With bedtimes at 7:30 or 8:00 pm, Friday nights have certainly changed what we do and where we go.
How funny! Yes, parenthood can sure lead to thinking about "what it was like"--not that we'd ever want to give up what we have now to go back.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are so cute!
I feel like I'm walking through my own house:) Although, Annabelle is now the one doing the "running slams" as we like to call them!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can hardly think of any better changes! I remember when we would see sometimes 2 movies a weekend, in the theater! And now we barely even rent movies, but I don't miss it...family nights are great! (Though a date night now & then is awfully nice!)
ReplyDeleteBut now THOSE are the best kind-of Friday nights EVER!!! Love the pics girl!
