The Weekend

Aahhh. Today is Monday - and it's been a good Monday. I love the feeling of being productive. And, as of 1:00 pm today, I've been very productive, thank you very much!

Sunday was a whirlwind of activity. I think my boys spent five hours in the nursery at church - and as long as that sounds, they were sad when it was time to go.

Saturday was Family Fun Day. Spaghetti for dinner was a hit. According to Grady Lee, "Eating snakes is yummy, Mom!" Enough said.

Because of this,

and this

we needed to do this!

And then we were off to Plaza Fiesta. For my Charlotte, NC friends, this is a must-do with your kids! Cheap and fun. And, if you have a tall husband, you will laugh hysterically watching him try to keep up with your kids and fit in tight places. Seriously, 6'5" should not do some of the things I saw my husband do. Yikes.

The evening started out with the boys racing down a slide... and Micah doing a somersault half-way down, landing on his belly, and going the rest of the way down with his left cheek plastered to the slide. Nice. (While the other parents around us gasped and wondered if our screaming kid was alright, Grady and I quickly made an exit to distract Micah and get him to stop hollering. Come on, you know you've been there before too.)

We climbed and swung and jumped and slid and laughed. It was great.

And, safe in Mom's arms, Micah had fun on his second go-around for the slide.

To top off the fun, we enjoyed some churro's. (Think warm, soft, cinnamon donuts.)

I.Love.My.Family. A lot.

  2. That looks like GREAT fun - I've heard of it but never made it inside, yet . . .

Love the snakes you ate - we had worms here!

  4. Hey, I think you'll love Plaz Fiesta. My daughter and three grandkids live in Asheville. She and her best buddy (who has five kids) love to make the trip to the playground. It's inside, warm and she likes the supervision.

  5. I've never heard of this place. Sounds like so much fun though--minus the bumps and bruises ;)!
We'll have to give it a try!
